Sogand Falahatpour is a native of Northern Virginia and joined Kelly Byrnes Danker & Luu in September of 2023. Sogand employs a holistic approach in her practice, taking the time to understand the unique circumstances and concerns involved in each case and fostering open communication with her clients. She is a thoughtful and passionate advocate for her clients both inside and outside of the courtroom.
Prior to joining the firm, Sogand completed a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Grace Burke Carroll of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Throughout her clerkship, Sogand had unparalleled exposure to domestic relations cases from inception to conclusion with the perspective of a neutral decision-maker. She directly assisted the judges in making well-informed decisions with extensive legal research and writing on various family law issues, in addition to other civil and criminal matters.
Sogand earned her Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from George Mason University in 2017. She went on to receive her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2021. During law school, she served on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and acted as the Vice President and Symposium Editor for the Public Interest Law Review, where her comment on the school-to-prison pipeline was selected for publication.
In her spare time, Sogand enjoys spending time with her friends and family, exploring new places with her cockapoo’s, and baking increasingly elaborate desserts.
